State LDE Results
Anahuac FFA recently competed for State in Leadership Development Event (LDE) Competitions. Lauren Barbeaud competed against the top 20 of 689 contestants in Senior Creed Speaking. Lauren advanced from the preliminary round to the to the final state round and placed 8th in the state overall. Macy Morehead competed against the top 20 of 632 contestants in Greenhand Creed Speaking where she advanced to the finals as well. At the state round, Macy placed 9th in the state overall. Josh Winslow, Mikey Morehead, and Kylie Turner competed against 212 Junior Farm Skills teams but unfortunately did not advance; however they still placed top 20 in the state overall. We congratulate these wonderful students for their hard work and dedication!

The Pride of Anahuac Receives 4th in State!
Thanks to all of you who had a hand in the band’s homecoming and to all of you who made the journey to San Antonio to cheer on the hometown team. The band represented us well placing 2nd in prelims and 4th in finals of the UIL state marching contest out of the top 18 bands in the state. We are very proud of our students and just as proud to have such wonderful support. Thanks for supporting the Pride of Anahuac!
