Panthers Drop The Ball to EC 7-2

The Panthers were looking to take a big win from EC and send them back home.  The Panthers Jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on couple of base hits by Gonzales and Douget that lead to a couple of errors that allowed the two runs to score.  The two teams would battle the whole game.  EC cut the lead in half and then eventually tied it in the 5th making the score 2-2.  Gonzales was effective at keeping the bucks off balance but would have to leave the game with a sore shoulder.  Cameron Mitchell stepped in and shut them down to keep them from scoring anymore in the fifth.  In the sixth EC put a runner on base by a couple of hits and later scored the go ahead run on a balk call.  Making the score 3-2 EC.  In the 7th EC would put some pressure on the Panthers and caused them to make some ill advised throws and plays allowing EC to score 4 more runs on three extra outs. This put it out of reach for the Panthers as the score wound up 7-2.  The Panthers will travel to Kountze on Friday to play a must win game.
