SUPPORTING HIGH SCHOOL AND MIDDLE SCHOOL ATHLETICS
The Anahuac Athletic
Booster Club is kicking off the 2006-2007 school year membership drive and
hope you will consider joining. Our
organization sponsors the Athletic Awards Banquet each year, have given two
scholarships to a senior boy and girl.
We sponsor the Gid Campbell and June Chambless scholarships.
We placed the Panther Country sign over the press box and painted the
Panther Paws that lead to each campus.
Over the past five years we have donated over $85,000.00 to the school
which has been used for the purchase of equipment to supplement the athletic
program at Anahuac I.S.D. A complete
list is available for review. All of
this would not have been possible without the support of the entire
community. While your monetary donation
to join is important in funding equipment and special events, it is equally or
more important that you be willing to donate a few hours of your time to assist
in the club’s activities. Not only is
the manpower needed and greatly appreciated by fellow members, but by being
present, the student athletes see everyone working together for a common goal. What better example can we set for our
children than teamwork? There is nothing
stronger than the heart of a volunteer. Some of the things that would require
donation of your time are working the booster club souvenir booth, preparing
meals for powerlifting, cross country, and
track. Also individuals are needed for
preparation for the fall and spring sports banquets, hosting the “Hall of
Honor” reception, 7 on 7, the football program and the “Future Panther” program. If you would be willing to help with any of
these events, please note that on your membership form by circling and someone
will contact you closer to the time of the event. With your continued support, we look forward
to a great year! Remember…it’s for the kids!
The annual dues are as follows: Individual - $10.00
Family - $20.00
Business - $50.00
100 Club - $100.00
With a 100 Club membership you will receive a shirt and a cap.
