                                             DISTRICT MISSION:

We at Anahuac ISD will provide the tools necessary for all students to reach their

potential in an ever changing society.

 

GOALS (2003 - 2006)

I. AISD will provide a challenging curriculum in which all students excel.

Objectives for 2004 - 2005

I.1:  The district will decrease the number of AEIS indicators falling below the state average in "all students," "White," "African American," "Hispanic," "Economically Disadvantaged," and "At-Risk," from 45 to 30.

I.2:  The district will, in order to encourage student participation, provide a Spring orientation to the certifications offered in the five strands of the Career and Technology Plan.

 

II. AISD will provide the tools and training to integrate technology into the curriculum.

Objectives for 2004 - 2005

II.1:  The district will replace or upgrade 20% of its technology units each year.

II.2:  The district will provide training to staff to assure that each technology unit is being utilized fully.

 

III. AISD will nurture a strong leadership team consisting of the Board, the superintendent, and administrators.

Objectives for 2004 - 2005

III.1:  The district will continue to support sending AISD principals to academy training.

III.2:  The district is committed to training its leadership team to meet or exceed state standards for board training.

III.3:  The district is committed to providing quality training for the superintendent.

III.4:  The district leadership team will undertake a review/revision of its local policies and will develop and establish Board Operating Procedures.

 

IV. AISD will recruit, retain, and train an outstanding staff.

Objectives for 2004 - 2005

IV.1:  The district will train professional staff with the skills to meet and raise the AEIS scores of subgroup populations.

IV.2:  The district will provide a positive environment for staff.

IV.3:  The district will explore staff incentives, including salaries, benefits, and rewards.

 

V. AISD will partner with the community to provide an excellent educational system.

Objectives for 2004 - 2005

V.1:  The district will continue to promote community involvement through district decision-making committees, special project committees, and superintendent communications committees.

 

VI. AISD will provide facilities, which meet or exceed program needs, are well maintained, and are continuously upgraded.

VI.1:  The district will explore means to fund priority capital projects.

 

VII. AISD will provide a safe and orderly environment for students and staff.

VII.1:  The district will renovate the elementary school office to provide increased security.
