Ben Beaoui Biography

 

 


 

     Ben attended the University of Oklahoma, through the Academy of Health Sciences of the U.S. Army at Fort Sam Houston, where he graduated in 1988 with distinguished honors and received a Bachelor of Science Degree, Physician Assistant.  He continued his education at park College of Missouri, receiving a BS in Healthcare Administration, and then on to Southwest Texas State University to pursue a Masters in Healthcare Administration.  Ben began his practice as a PA with the United States Army performing primary care for soldiers and active family members in various facilities.  Ben is, and maintains his Board certification in primary care and surgery through the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants; a distinction available only to those PA's who have graduated from an accredited PA program.  Ben is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

     Ben honorably served his country in the U.S. Army for 23 years, including a tour during "Desert Storm," retiring from active duty in 1996.  During his service he functioned in a variety of clinical and administrative positions around the world and is the proud recipient of over 30 military service awards including the Bronze Star and the Legion of Merit.  Upon his retirement from the military, Ben continued his clinical practice by joining Bayside in Anahuac, providing a variety of services at both the Clinic and Hospital, to patients of all stations and need.

     Ben has been and remains actively committed to his community, serving on a variety of Boards, including the Anahuac Area Chamber of Commerce and the local chapter of the American Heart Association.  For his unselfish service to his community and neighbors, the Anahuac Area Chamber of Commerce honored him in 1998 as the "Citizen of the Year".  Ben is the lucky husband of Hayat, and the proud and doting father of two children; Lachab and Aziza.
