I am a proud 1988 High Honor graduate of Anahuac High, where I excelled academically, socially and athletically. The basis and foundation of my future was birthed out of the Anahuac Independent School District. I went on to Prairie View A&M University and received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in August of 1994. I have worked for several Fortune 100 companies while pursuing my education, such as Proctor & Gamble, Chevron & Hewlett-Packard. Upon graduation from college, I moved to the Texas panhandle and took a position with Mason & Hanger-Silas Mason, using my degree as a Nuclear Operations Manager in a Nuclear Facility. The work was interesting and challenging, but my desire to be closer to home and more technical led me to pursue a position with Hewlett-Packard Company. I have been with HP for the past 11 years in various engineering positions within the company. My passion has always been to be a servant and to give back to the community that raised me. I serve as a big brother and mentor for many disadvantaged kids. I have volunteered on numerous clean up committees, voter’s registration drives and opened a free tutorial service for the children of our communities through the St. Mary’s Baptist Church in Hankamer. I am pleased to be home, working for change and growth in our communities. I believe that education is the most important asset that one can have and it is free to those who have a desire to learn. I have been divinely tasked with building better men and I take pride in developing and leading the Mighty Men’s Ministry at my church. Little boys grow up to be men by watching active men and modeling themselves after men. The same can be said about little hoodlums and who they model themselves after. We are truly products of our environment and I strive to be an example to our little boys. I am blessed and fortunate to be married to my beautiful wife Debra. Our desire is to spend many more years working in Chambers County, making a difference in the lives of others.
