Speed Day

The first AHS SPEED DAY Track and Field day was held May 18, 2007. The purpose of the event was to allow children with physical and intellectual disabilities to participate in activities that develop and improve physical fitness, motor skills, and self-confidence. It is the belief of the school district and community that everyone benefits from witnessing the endless courage, enthusiasm, and determination exhibited by each SPEED DAY participant. Students in each grade level compete in activities such as a, relay races, various running, jumping and throwing events.
