Welcome to Anahuac Elementary School

Welcome to Anahuac Elementary School for school year 2009-2010!  Our Campus received an accountability rating of “Recognized” last year by the State of Texas.  Our students did a terrific job of learning and showing what they know on the TAKS test and of attending school every day.  Our wonderful teachers did an outstanding job last year, and they will be working to help the students do even better this year.  To do that, we must all work together: students, parents, teachers, community members, and other school staff members.  We will all make academic achievement a priority along with extracurricular activities so that Anahuac Elementary School students will continue to have a reputation for pursuing excellence.

AES STUDENTS VISIT AUSTIN, TX

This year Anahuac Elementary School was invited to participate in the Enrique "Kiki" Camarena Red Ribbon Rally on Thursday, October 15, 2009 in Austin, Texas. Five Anahuac Elementary 5th grade students embarked on a tour of the State Capitol. They witnessed the staging of the passing of an anti-drug bill on the legislative floor of the Capitol and how the legislative process works. The Rally is sponsored by the DEA, in partnership for a DRUG-FREE America. This was a great start to our Red Ribbon week coming up October 26-30.
