Anahuac High School serves the students from the communities of Anahuac, Wallisville, Hankamer, Monroe City, Double Bayou, Oak Island and Smith Point, which gives us a student population very rich in diversity. Landscaped with a combination of palm trees and oleanders, this building was built in the early 1960's but is beautifully maintained.

Anahuac High School is a large AA high school serving grades 9-12. An extensive selection of advanced classes are offered at Anahuac High School, including: AP classes in English 3 & 4; Biology, US History, Government, and Calculus. Additionally, we offer Pre-AP selections in Spanish 1 and 2, World Geography, World History, Geometry, and Algebra II. AHS students have consistently scored above the state average on TAKS.

Our campus offers a low student/teacher ratio and is fully networked with Internet access for teachers and students. AHS participates in the Gulf Coast Educational Consortium to offer alternative education to at-risk students at Gulf Coast High School and the Hardin-Chambers Center.
