SPANISH I is an introductory course into the Spanish language. Students will learn basic vocabulary related to people, places, things, and actions close to their own lives.  They will express themselves in phrases, short sentences, and memorized material exhibiting an emerging control of the most common basic grammatical forms and structures. Students will gain an understanding and appreciation of the diversity of languages and cultures. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/fa/Mexico.Tab.OlmecHead.01.jpg

SPANISH II progresses where Spanish I ended with vocabulary, past tense grammar and verb conjugations.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Spanish I.

SPANISH III has curriculum that combines SPANISH I, SPANISH II, exploratory readings, future tenses as well as other vocabulary and verb conjugations.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Spanish II.

Our goals are to integrate all of these parts in order to develop conversational skills that can be incorporated into real life situations outside the classroom and to develop an understanding of and appreciation for other cultures. Students will be assigned homework, quizzes, exams, projects, reading selections, and oral presentations that reinforce the instruction given during the class period.
